Harmony is created by the assembly of disparate elements, regardless of what each of them represents. Here diversity is present everywhere, whether by the origin of the materials (collected in many countries), by their nature (photos, newspapers, fabrics), or by their symbolic significance. By gathering elements from different cultures and religions (Muslim crescent, Christian leaf branches, amulets), diversity is enriched by movements, travels, connections, openings, illustrated here by doors, windows or stairs, but also by multiple colors: yellow for light and hope, and lapis lazuli symbolic of celestial constellations. ‘Collage’ is itself a mosaic.
