Hate has a grip on so many people in our world. Yet, thankfully, the hope is that there are also many in our world that want peace.

As you look at the portraits of these strong women: let us, together, believe in the end of this cold, dark season. . .

..it has again been shown that being selfish is dangerous to the health of our world.

We must - and we can - awaken to the beauty and fragility of it all and connect.

The first lesson to be learned from what is happening today is that we cannot behave as if everything else besides us doesn’t matter.

I feel this pandemic has woken us up and hopefully enlightened us to what truly matters… not to take life for granted.

Since the lockdown, isolation has been a central theme for me, and I started painting and sculpting lonely objects in nature.

I use my painting as a way to comment on events and social issues and also to help me get out my own frustrations.

I titled this piece “This too shall pass,” for us, but not for my dear Yemen, not by far.

My title was inspired by those this week who are frustrated and pleading with their communities…"Just Wear the Damn Mask."
